On a mission to promote violence prevention plus general wellness, in health promotion for women and girls, to improve their physical fitness, avoid alcohol, tobacco and drug use, and tackle physical and sexual violence against them. To solve the problem, we engage boys at an early stage that curtails violence against girls and ensures violence in all its forms doesn’t occur in the first place.
The Problem
34% of the women aged 15-49 in Malawi experienced physical violence.
14% of the women experienced sexual violence
23% of the women experienced emotional violence.
Early pregnancy, early marriage, and early dropping-out of school.
OUR PURPOSE
The programme is designed to teach boys adulthood-readiness behaviors, masculinity and how they treat adolescent girls in the most respectable way. We commit to ending violence against adolescent women. We believe that engaging boys early enough in their life, as partners in violence prevention, will tackle practices and behavior gaps that perpetuate violence against women and girls.
